Yoga for Arthritis

We recommend a guided yoga practice by one of our professional yoga teachers to assist students with relief from personal injury or disease. Please contact us to discuss any issues you may have so that we can guide you in what your body requires organically. All poses in group classes are modified to suit each student’s personal needs. Please advise the teacher at the beginning of each class if you have any issues at all. We are here to guide you safely through each practice and on your yoga journey.

People with various types of arthritis who practice yoga regularly can reduce joint pain, improve joint flexibility and function, and lower stress and tension to promote better sleep. Many people turn to yoga as a way to exercise gently, as well as to reduce tension and improve joint flexibility.

Exercise doesn't reverse damage that's already done. But it helps prevent arthritis from deteriorating, and it has the added benefit of weight control, which can make a signifigant difference on the joints that support most of the body's weight: the hips and knees.
